In this instalment, we’re introducing you to Dave Huntley, Distributed Chief Technology Officer. In his own words, Huntley has been ”writing and shipping software since ‘Web 1.0’” As Distributed CTO, Huntley heads projects from discovery to kick-off to launch, providing his expert advice and leadership to clients throughout the entire process.
What keeps you feeling excited about working at Distributed?
I’m excited about creating software that innovates and brings material benefits to the lives of real-world users. Additionally, I find great value in giving the opportunity for freelancers to benefit from and access an ecosystem of high-profile organisations and diverse technologies.
What’s your top remote work tip for other teams?
Spend the first 30 minutes of your day getting ready for work-mind. Spend the last 30 minutes of your day getting ready to be with your friends and family.
What’s your personal prediction for the future of talent in 2024?
Despite numerous disruptive technologies coming into play over the last few years, the fundamentals of talent haven't changed. The future of talent is high-quality work and commitment.
How do you like to unwind and have fun outside of work?
Wine! But I also play any musical instrument which has strings or keys. I love digital painting, I write, and I spend a lot of time with my wife and kids.
